In both the "From " and "From:" lines of the mail headers, all addresses are rewritten in "!" form (forwarder!host.domain!user). This has always been annoying but never a problem UNTIL I started running Majordomo. Now, it is very difficult for people to unsubscribe (without 'auto' policy) since they expect their "@" address and that isn't what is on the list. How do I get uucp/sendmail to leave or rewrite the addresses in "@" form (user@host.domain)?? I would prefer not to change versions of uucp or sendmail unless I absolutely must and I prefer smaller config changes to larger. Thanks very much for your assistance. -David dar@synthesis.com - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Sep 1996 18:11:45 +0100 From: "Dave Stringer-Calvert" Subject: 3/50 Ethernet To: suns-at-home@tigger.net-kitchen.com >Date: Tue, 17 Sep 1996 15:27:02 -0700 (PDT) >From: Brian Alexander Martin >Subject: sun 3/50 ethernet >To: Suns-at-Home@tigger.net-kitchen.com > >Does anyone know how to enable the AUI port on a sun 3/50? I wrote two disk files into a 4mm tape using 'tar', as one tape file. But when I tried to read them out, an error occured after the first disk file was extracted. The error message was tar: close errorSegmentation Fault and a core file was created. The machine I used for writing and reading are both SunSparc20s, running SunOS 5.5. The first disk file is of size 22103280 bytes and the second file which I failed to extract is of more than 600M bytes. The tape I used is a 4mm SONY DGD120M of 4.0GB native capacity. If anyone can tell me the reason of this and how to solve the problem, it will be really a great help to me! Thank you very much in advance! sincerely yours Xuegong Zhang - ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 23 Sep 1996 15:56:38 -0400 (EDT) From: Rick Leir Subject: Suns-at-Home Digest V9 #35 To: Dwight McKay > I have a Sun IPC here on my desk, which (from what I understand) can > be upgraded to an IPX with a motherboard swap, pretty seemlessly... Better still, you can just add a GX Sbus card ( I forget whether there is an empty GX socket on the IPC motherboard). Then you have, effectively, an IPX, and it will be just as fast. Now, I have a question: where can I get a GX Sbus card for my IPC? Can anyone suggest a low-cost source, because it makes a big difference to the useability of this box.? After a few months nobody can even remember where these parts are, and nobody cares becuse they are not directly necessary for the project. This has happened to me twice in a row!! Does anyone have a few of these in his/her junk room? Or should I wire up my own speakers (what is the pin-out, do I need a small amplifier, where can I get a connector, will the audio driver know that there are actually speakers connected)? Many thanks in advance B-) Rick Leir rleir@achilles.net http://www.achilles.net/~rleir 613-828-8289 7951 Rocinante - ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 22 Sep 96 11:47:15 PDT From: rodgers@maxwell.ucsf.EDU (R.
