I can't get X11R5 to work with the machine, nor the boot PROM tests. I ran into a couple references that I need the boot PROM v3.01 (?) to get the CG6 to work on my sun. I guess I have a few questions about this: (1) do I need this version of the boot PROM to get the board to work, or just to run the PROM diagnostics? I would think that the kernel is what would be need to support the framebuffer. (2) how do I upgrade my sun to this version of the boot PROM? where is the PROM I need to replace? can anyone help me in acquiring a PROM with the version? (3) am I on the right track at all or am is this a hopeless situation? Thanks, -kevin kykim@access.digex.net - ------------------------------ End of Suns-at-Home Digest ******************************
