So I need to remove the bottom cover to see what can be done about it. Problem is, I cannot find how to remove it. There are various holes in the bottom that look as though they ought to have screws at the bottom, but the bottoms of all the holes are blank. I have also heard that the screws for detaching the bottom cover are accessible from above, and that there are about four of them, but I can see no such screws. Maybe I have to remove something else to get at them, but that sounds dangerous. It is also suggested that it is possible to remove some pin so that the top half may be raised by more than the paltry 30 degrees normally allowed. This would certainly make access to the interior easier. So, has anyone any experience of opening one of these up that could be shared? ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Oct 1994 15:41:44 -0400 (EDT) From: "Robert D. Davis" Subject: Suns-at-Home Digest V7 #30 To: Suns-at-Home@ecn.purdue.edu Can anyone here explain how to duplicate the OS distributation tapes for a Sun 3/60? In particular, it would be nice to know how create a bootable tape. I've got one set of distribution tapes, but it would be nice to know how to make a backup copy in the event that one of these tapes goes bad, then, I wouldn't have to pester anyone to send me a new copy. :-) Is it absolutely necessary to have two tape drives in order to do this, or can the image of a tape just be saved to disk? Thanks very much in advance for any information that anyone can provide about this! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Oct 1994 21:04:15 +0100 From: peter@sunflower.sub.org (Peter Dieth) Subject: Suns-at-Home Digest V7 #32 To: Suns-at-Home@ecn.purdue.edu > Date: Thu, 29 Sep 1994 12:12:18 -0700 > From: Joshua Rochester > Subject: Help me with my new sun! > To: suns-at-home@ecn.purdue.edu > > I am a novice sun operator (a unit kinda fell in my lap) and I need > some of the pieces that didn't come on my 4/110. > > 1st) What are the specs on a 4/110?
