Subject: Fast modems+UUCP/PPP on Sun-3s, experience wanted

I would like to know people's experience using UUCP and PPP over the
new fast modems (28.8 kbps) with and without compression, on SUNOS
4.1.1 Sun-3s.  How well does the serial port driver cope with these
speeds?  Does the standard UUCP software need patching?  What problems
did you run into?  Were you able to get everything to work, and if so, how?

As I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping to upgrade, I'll summarize the
replies back to the list.
