To: Suns-at-Home@harbor.ecn.purdue.edu Does anybody know anyplace I could anon FTP the back issues of Suns-At-Home? I'd like to get 'em all to read, and I'm loathe to request hundreds of issues from the mail server. -Bennett bet@sbi.com [ I do not make the Suns-at-Home archives available via FTP because they are ] [ at various times not on the internet as they move from machine to machine. ] [ --ddm ] ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Jan 94 11:01:15 EST From: wilker@hopf.math.purdue.edu (Clarence Wilkerson) Subject: Booting Sun 3/60 from CDROM/SCSI 150meg tape To: suns-at-home@harbor.ecn.purdue.edu I've verified recently that installing version 3.0.1 EPROM for the bootprom in a Sun 3/60 will allow the 3/60 to boot off a Sun Cdrom. For the Sunos 4.1.1 version, try "b sd(0,30,4)" . With the 3.0.1, the 150 meg Sun scsi tape drive will boot also. Is there any problem running these off of an Xy 451 controller. I know the drives are SMD and the controller is ESMD. So I was wondering if there is any problem. Thanks. -brad w. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Jan 94 10:47 PST From: Steve_Goyette@mindlink.bc.ca (Steve Goyette) Subject: Suns-at-Home Digest V7 #1 To: Suns-at-Home@ecn.purdue.edu Hi all, A while back, I saw a thread on how to install a PC power supply to a Sun 3/60. I need to do the same thing with a 3/110. Does anybody know the pinouts that I would need. ------------------------------ End of Suns-at-Home Digest ******************************
