It is supposed to be able to handle tapes up to 525MB. Does anyone know of a company who sells good tapes at a reasonable price? I need about 10 tapes. Thanks. Also, I just had a very pleasant experience installing GNU's Taylor UUCP. If anyone has any questions about it, drop me a line... Logan) Subject: need X-kernel & boot block for Sun 2/50 To: suns-at-home@harbor.ecn.purdue.edu I'm in a bit of a bind, and I'd really appreciate it if someone who's running an old Sun 2/50 as an X-terminal could help me out. I need an Xkernel built for my 2/50, and a Sun 2 "boot block" to put on my Sparcstation. I've got the X-kernel package on my SparcStation, ready to go, so I'd build the kernel myself if I could. I've got a 4.0.3 tape for the 2/50, but my 150meg tape drive went south a couple of months back, and I haven't bothered to get it fixed yet. Even if I did, it seems like a lot of pain to install everything, boot the 2/50 under 4.0.3, build a kernel, then un-install the 68010 binaries except for the kernel.... If anyone has a setup like this running, and can supply me with the little bits I need via FTP (or even UUCP!), I'd love to hear from you! It's a shame to have a machine just sitting around....
