We are all doing just fine, but the digest has suffered a bit of a delay. I will put out a new digest on my usual Monday morning schedule starting today. --Dwight D. To: suns-at-home@orchestra.ecn.purdue.edu Hi there, I'm just wondering how much does a used 4/260 with either a SCSI drive and a 1/4-inch QIC tape drive cost these days in the 3rd market ? Any info/pointers will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. regards. -eric ho- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Mar 1993 22:15:34 -0500 From: mcr@latour.sandelman.ocunix.on.ca (Michael Richardson) Subject: SUN uucp help requested [really UUCP help. --ed] To: Suns-at-Home@ecn.purdue.edu In article <9303081513.AA19438@orchestra.ecn.purdue.edu> you write: >Date: Tue, 2 Mar 93 11:04:56 EST >From: David Davidian > >In your Systems entry you have to add a P_ZERO at the front of the script as >follows: > >host Any ACU speed telno "" P_ZERO "" chat script This is indeed the solution to many connection problems. cu defaults to no parity, uucico defaults to even parity. You can also say P_ODD and P_EVEN if necessary. Get Taylor UUCP. Then you just say `chat-program /bin/stty -parenb' --- perfectly logical :-) -- :!mcr!: | The postmaster never | So much mail, Michael Richardson | resolves twice. | so little time. It supports both schools of Unix and its own (IMHO) more cogent approach to defining scripts, drivers, and so on. Check the usual GNU locations for the latest version of Taylor uucp.
