The folks at the other end of my connection have been very helpful, but they don't know anything about Suns. I have a good chat script that goes so far as to work its way through the terminal server and log in successfully, but where (I'm told) the next step should be to negotiate protocol, it just sits until it times out. I've read O'Reilly's _Managing UUCP and Usenet_ and Nemeth, et al's _Unix System Administration Handbook_, but neither address the problem I'm having. I've been given a hint (twice) that a Sun-specific parity setting may be involved, but as my system was purchased from a reseller without a manual set, I can't RTFM. Is there someone out in SAH-land who has experience with uucp on a Sparc running SunOS 4.1.1, who is willing to give me some help via e-mail? I can provide copies of my chat scripts, and a -x9 session log. Any help would be much appreciated, and I'll post a summary when/if I succeed.
