It is diskless with 8MB of RAM, and a 16" Sony color monitor. The 3/60 was refurbished by Sun, is in working condition, is still under the 90 day warranty from Sun, and is in the original boxes (3 boxes, one for the keyboard, one for the monitor and one for the 3/60). I would like to get $3600 for it. Please call or e-mail. If you call, leave a message on the machine. -DAve Dave Evans Sun Microsystems keyman@sun.com H(415)966-1842 ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Jul 90 16:56:09 CDT From: "Matt Crawford" Subject: Good/bad/ugly modems for SLIP? To: Suns-at-Home@orchestra.ecn.purdue.edu I'm sure this is an old question for this list, but which of the available 9600 bps or greater modems are especially good or especially bad for slip? I have found the Microcom QX V.32 to be ill-suited when running in MNP 9 mode at 38.4kbps and sending binary image data. BUt that was for an astronomy project and now I'm looking for something for the home machine. I'd be extremely appreciative if anyone with ANY 2/50 (or compatible) parts at any (reasonable) price would contact me ASAP. I'd consider buying a whole system, if necessary. I'm also very interested in getting any hardware and boot monitor documentation available. Basically, if you have anything 2/50 related that you want to get rid of, please send mail or call!!!
