I am interested in finding out more about how home Sun users purchased 
purchased their machine. Was it from Sun, a retail outlet, by mail?
If you have a Sparcstation in your home, how did you buy it and where 
did you buy it?

Physically and electrically the 2/50 is a 2 slot vme chassis.
The 3/50 is not. I have not done the above personally but I believe
that the backplane might have to be changed. If you get a hold of the
Sun FE manual you should be able to figure out all the details.
