The 2322 isn't explicitly mentioned in the system documentation, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried and succeeded in getting this driver to run. -Marcus VE3MDL ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Mar 90 11:57:47 CST From: Simon Hackett Subject: Suns-at-Home Digest V3 #9 To: Suns-at-Home@orchestra.ecn.purdue.edu > From: mleech@utzoo > Subject: Sun-2 woes > To: utgpu!suns-at-home@orchestra.ecn.purdue.edu > > 1) How to configure the CPU board for 2400-baud on the console port--the > video is DOA, and we need that slot for something else anyway. > Also is it possible to disable the "feature" that any framing error > (BREAK) received by the console port causes the CPU to go into monitor > mode? I don't think you can. The best thing to do is use the other port (the b port) on the cpu board, which doesn't have this sort of "feature". For both ports, it's easy to configure them at 2400 baud. If you want to be able to log into the port, just make the line in /etc/ttys with ttyb on it look like this: 16ttyb The first digit is 0 for no-logins (but a program can use the port), 1 for "put a login: up on this line". The second digit is the speed of the line, taken from the file /etc/gettytab. 6 means 2400 baud. Once you've edited this (as root), type kill -1 1 (again as root) to effect the change.
