If you can supply an alternative address/path *please* let me know. Is anybody out there knows how to achieve this communication linking? Do I need to buy any communication software like TOPS for this purpose? Do I need a tranceiver for the SUN 3/110 and a etherlink card for the Mac? Anyone out there who is willing to help me solve this?? Send your solution to : subra@ece.upm.MY Bye-bye and cherio. Make the most of those huge 70mb disks :^). You'll still need the X11R3 header files if you plan to build any X programs (I think they're not included). anonymous ftp to expo (18.30.0.212); files in contrib/sun2_X11R3: ============================================================ These are the Sun 2 (Sun OS 3.5) binaries for X11R3. They have been compiled to live in /usr/local/pkg/X11. So, to use them, make the formentioned directory. cd to it. make directories bin, lib, and Xlib. There is a tar file for each of these. put the tar files in their corresponding directories. then "zcat tarFile | tar xf -" in each directory. Add /usr/local/pkg/X11/bin to your PATH. You should now be ready to run. The binary directory only contains the stuff in clients, not the stuff in contrib. I added twm and uwm as an afterthought so this directory should contain: sun2_README --> this file sun2_bin.tar.Z --> the executable files for /usr/local/pkg/X11/bin sun2_lib.tar.Z --> the libraries for /usr/local/pkg/X11/lib sun2_Xlib.tar.Z --> the fonts, app_defaults, etc for /usr/local/pkg/X11/Xlib twm.Z --> Tom's Window Manager awm.Z --> Ardent Window Manager. As an aside, you may have to re-dbm the rgb.pag and rgb.dir files (from rgb.txt) since I hear that moving them destroys something. I also don't believe that libXhp.a is the latest version. I believe its the original one, but with enough pleading, it can be updated.
