To my suprise, the Moniterm VY1000 monochrome monitors sold as high-res screens for MacII's and IBM PC's work just fine (it even has the same pinout!). The only thing you have to do is tweek the little 10-turn pot inside to adjust the horz freq. One warning though, it will only work with later sun 2 video boards (the ones with ECL outputs) The video input of the viking looks as though it may be jumperable for TTL or ECL video but I haven't tried getting jumpering information from Moniterm. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 May 89 10:02:00 EST From: dwight (Dwight D. SunOS 4.X has them already, SunOS 3.X doesn't (although once upon a time there was upgrade code available from somewhere on the net, I don't remember where). There're on uunet and they compiled and dropped cleanly into 3.5.2 for me. ------------------------------ End of Suns-at-Home Digest ******************************
