I have a Sun-3/60 with a shoebox that has the Emulex MD21 controller and a Micropolis 1355 disk. I also have an Adaptec ACB4000 controller and a Micropolis 1325 disk that I want to attach to this system. I'm running SunOS 4.0. I've attached the controller to the scsi connector, and attached the drive to the controller. When I try to format, however, I get a bunch of messages saying that it can't write to the disk at all. Format runs, but when it tries to update the label and defect information, it gives errors saying that it can't write to cylinder 0 or the last two cylinders. Has anyone else had experience with this drive/controller combination and can tell me what I may be doing wrong? I'll summarize any responses I get to the list. Thanks. -jan- -- Jan L. Which of those that I don`t have do I really need? What other not mentioned documentation do you think necassary?
