This is a very complete fully loaded system with video, sound, accessories,
external storage and extensive documentation included. All you need to add
is a standard 15 pin PC type VGA monitor that will do 1024x768. This would
be an excellent 'starter system' to reformat and learn from the ground up or
a hook it up and use it system for a person wanting to learn Unix and
Solaris on the UltraSPARCII platform. I assembled this system over a period
of about ten months and tought my self enough Unix and server environment
hardware and software to get a better job. I need to upgrade my home system
so I have to sell this system off. NO I WON'T BREAK IT UP. All or nothing.

First- to explain the differences I know of between the Netra t 1405 and
Ultra 80 and Enterprise 420R:
The Sun Netra t 1405 is the same motherboard as the Ultra 80 and E420R in a
bulletproof box. Think "Mil-Spec." There are steel guards over the CD drive
and (optional) tape drive slots. This is an impressive looking machine.
There are redundant power supplies. The processors are 10MHz slower than the
Ultra 80 or E420R to comply with the NEBS extreme reliability and durability
testing process these telco central office reliable grade machines go
through.
http://www.ul.com/nebs/ for info on how well these machines must be
constructed.

Operationally the Netra t 1405 is an Ultra 80 or E420R.
Solaris identifies this machine as an Ultra 80 when it boots.
All parts in server other than sound card are genuine SUN labeled parts.
All parts in server other than sound card are NEBS certified.
