Okay, one fully loaded Netra T1405 here. For Sale or TRADE. It's ALL SUN
parts.
The Netra T1405 is a 420R or Ultra 80 in full body armor. Earthquake
resisitant, redundant power supplies, reinforced steel chassis, redundant
cooling fans, built like a tank. For the nitty-gritty details, here's a link
to some of the TONS of documentation available from SUN
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/coll/94.1

No reasonable offer refused. For Sale or TRADE. It's all or nothing, I won't
part it out.
I'll be honest and up front, I have about $400 tied up in the hardware.
Unfortunately my wife knows too.
_____MAKE ME A SERIOUS OFFER ON THIS SERIOUS COMPUTER!_____
I have most every option available from SUN other than tape drive installed
in this computer and you can get a SUN tape drive for $40 on EBAY. Somebody
ought to have a website they want to develop and host themselves, Java
software to write, UNIX to learn, supercomputers to hack, whatever! Darn it,
it works perfectly, it tought me Solaris/Unix and has years of usefull life
left.

I guess the most important thing is my wife says "Get that damn thing outta
my dining room!"
(The SUN Grey cabinet and Orange handles really don't go with Cherry
furniture.)

This computer started life as a closet spare in a telco NOC. It was bought
new, configured, software installed, tested and put back on the shelf as a
spare. I got the computer when they went to blade servers in the NOC and
collected the keyboards, mice, other options from EBAY. First time I opened
the computer it was still pristine clean and new. It still has the bright
orange shipping handles on it. It's Never been in a rack. It now has about
1000 hours running time on it. (1000 hours? Think again, that's just 42
days. Just over a month on a machine designed and proven to run YEARS
non-stop, 24/7.)

What's in the computer deal:
4 x 440MHz UltraSPARC II processors with 4Mbyte cache each
4 Gigs interleaved RAM
3 x SUN hot-swappable Power supplies
1 x 18Gig 10 K RPM SCSI drive
3 x 9Gig 10K RPM SCSI drives
1 x SCSI SUN 24x CD drive
1 x VGA (15 pin standard VGA connector) video frame buffer
1 x Sound Blaster sound card
1 x SUN set install media and startup manuals for Solaris 9
1 x set install media for Solaris 10
2 x CDs with PDFs of all T1405 and related manuals and some software.
1 x 4 port 10/100 NIC
-------------------------
1 x box assortment with new and used SUN keyboards and new and used SUN mice
and a couple used SCSI drives, Includes SUN PCI 400MHz WINTEL co-processor
board (not installed, untested by me, working pull from another system..
SUN-side software incl, will run Win2K in window on SOLARIS.)

LOCATION: Fredericksburg, VA. Interstate I-95 corridor.
(Richmond, VA is 50 miles south, Washington DC is 50 miles north.)
Will deliver within 50 miles of Fredericksburg for $25. No inside DC
beltway. I quit a $80k a year job to get out of the beltway traffic.
UPS wants ~$130 to box and ship depending on location.

Grant me a wish---I Would love to TRADE the computer to a Mechanic for labor
on a valve job on a 98 F-150.

Other TRADE goods I'm interested in:
Small boat (marine) radar, marine HF radio, HAM radio gear, computer video
projector, professional grade audio gear such as mixers, equalizers, FX,
<700cc motorcycle, electronic test gear such as oscilloscopes, audio
spectrum analyzer, function generator, most anything electronic. Recent
Military surplus electronics has extra value. Sorry, I don't need home
stereo gear or video game consoles.

Please Ask questions, arrange hands on demo, haggle, whatever.
Please reply here on list or to machine1(at)spamcop(dot) net.
