JDS is Suns version of gnome -- which is a huge memory hog. Maxing  
out the machines memory is the best
thing you can do to make it run well. SCSI drives are definately alot  
faster and will probably help some,
but memory is bigger.

JDS runs alright on my ultra 60 2x450 but I normally use fvwm 1.24r  
as my window manager, or CDE if it's
not my machine.
