Hi ppl,
Thanks for all the nice replies. Yes i put back in the simm but to no
avail..;-(
It's probably static or something, oh well i learned how to break a sparc
;-)I did lay simms on the floor as well as cards, normally i never have
problems with static at all. I might have something to do with metal
dust/scraps that came from me hacking on the backplane of the sun..
I'm ransacking it right now to make a new one (ss2) with 2aui ports to make
it a firewall. Im throwing in the framebuffer from the old, and the hdd,
(now there's a trick!). Unfortunately the ss2 only takes small ram, so i
have to stick with 16megs. Let's see if i can do firewalling with that!
I'm also busy installing x86 solaris see if i can get that to work
BTW- if i boot my ss2, it seems there's a red light in the powerblock. is
that normal? or is it some kind of alert?
I really like this list!
