[Suns-at-Home] Parallax video and Solaris 8

I've helped out a couple Parallax Video users here before, so now it's
my turn to ask for help.

Has anyone gotten this board (specifically the PowerVideo) to work under
Solaris 8?  It works fine under Solaris 7, but something changed (X11R6.4
for one) and Xsun fails to start when given the tvtwo device to use.  It says:

ld.so.1: /usr/openwin/bin/X: fatal: relocation error: file 
/usr/openwin/server/modules/ddxPLXtv2.so.1: symbol mfbTileArea32General: 
referenced symbol not found
Error attempting to dynamically load ddx handler ddxPLXtv2.so.1
